Regional Sales Manager-Agronomy

Extremely aggressive Ag retail and seed business is looking to add to its senior management team a Sales Manager to develop and coach a region of sales agronomists. The candidate must have experience at the Ag retail either in a sales or management position. The candidate will be involved at a high level putting together the strategic marketing plans and pricing packages that then will need to be implemented with the front line sales people. This position will have full hiring, firing and training responsibility. The opportunity for growth is very possible with positions at the enterprise management team level expected to open in the coming years.

The candidate will need the following skills experiences to qualify:

• Prior management of sales agronomist
• Successful sales record in an agronomy retail organization
• A strong current sales agronomist that is ready to take the step up to management will be considered
• Strong technical agronomy skills
• An understanding of the seed business and how to drive profits there

The company is building compensation packages to pay for the top talent and will include a good benefits package and incentive compensation. If you are really good at managing your people, this position can be done without working extremely long hours. Work hard, work efficient and this position will allow a strong life-work balance. This position has no responsibility for operations or running of fertilizer plants.
