Question by Lesa: MOLE SKIN CANCER? ? ? ? ?
I had a physical today and they said I need to go get a mole checked out by a dermotologist. i am only 14. I?ve had this mole all my life and it does have symptoms of skin cancer( dark, different colors, irregular border) but I haven?t noticed it change at all from when I first noticed it 10 years ago.. I was just wondering can you get skin cancer at 14 and what will the dermotologist probably do? Thanks.

You probably do not have cancer, but it is possible. The dermatologist will examine it, possibly biopsy (cut out a piece of) it, or even remove it just to be safe.
